classic
I have so many margarita recipes on this blog. Margarita cocktails and margarita desserts, but I’ve yet to post the basic classic margarita recipe. You’ll find the full list of all the previous recipes at the bottom of the post. Be prepared, there are many!
I made the classic last night for Cinco de Mayo, sometimes you forget how great simple can be.
Classic Margarita
- 2 ounces Blanco tequila
- 1 ½ ounces Cointreau
- Juice of 1 large or 2 small limes
- Garnish: Lime wheel or wedge
Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice, then add the tequila, Cointreau and lime juice; shake well. Fill a glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge and enjoy!
Serves 1

- The Chisel – Cody’s Skinny Margarita
- Dad’s Speakeasy Margarita

- Shirley’s Margarita Tart (Hi Shirley!)

Saving the best for last. My all-time and forever favorite margarita recipe – yes even more so than the classic. In fact, now I feel like I absolutely must make the De Lujo this weekend and enjoy it while floating in the pool.
