prime time – Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Did you know that 23 is a prime number, meaning that it is a natural number that has exactly two distinct natural number divisors: 1 and itself?  

There are 25 prime numbers between 1 and 100. They are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89 and 97. And strangely enough, the current ages of three out of the four people in our family are prime – weird! Dave is 53, Connor is 19, and… TODAY, Marissa is 23!

Yes, all that to get to the point, that today is my sweet Marissa’s 23rd birthday! What made me think about prime numbers? Well, I was thinking of putting up pictures of her at specific intervals, like when she was 5, 10, 15… and 23. Or 4, 8, 12, 16, 20… and 23. That’s not working, how about  7, 14, 21… and 23.  Dang it, 23 isn’t divisible by anything… oh, it must be a prime number.

So, I looked it up and sure enough, then I glanced at this list of numbers and noticed my boy’s ages too. Again, I say weird!

Since 1 is the only other number that works with 23, here I give you my adorable girl – just last week with her in the center of her girlfriends at my Black Friday Cocktail Party, above; and below when she was 1 year old, “helping” mommy load the dishwasher in our tiny galley kitchen in our first home, a 970 square-foot townhouse at The Pointe Tapatio.
