so pretty-don’t you just love the Banksia Roses at this time of year ?!!

what is the purple flower – I have seen that plant all over this week and for sure it made it through the terribel freeze and such beautiful blooms–Thanks in advance

Betsy, the purple flower is from the Texas Mountain Laurel.

It is a wonderful plant. I didn’t even cover it through the freeze and it come out on the side perfectly. Here’s a little more info on it:

Texas mountain laurel is an evergreen, usually multi-trunked shrub or small tree ranging from just a few feet tall to more than 30 ft. in height, though its usual height at maturity is 10-15 ft. The bluish lavender flowers, in 3-7 in. drooping clusters, are very showy and fragrant.
