Happy Birthday, Sloane!

A huge Birthday Shout Out to my baby sister, Sloane. Her birthday was yesterday, the same day we threw the big 8oth birthday bash for our Dad. So, she gave up her special day for him, what a selfless and beautiful daughter and sister she is! The ironic thing about me posting her birthday wish today is that when she was little, we used to think her birthday was on May 1st.  You see, all four of us (Sloane, our two brothers, and I) are adopted and for whatever reason, our parents thought her birthday was May Day. That was when we celebrated it, up until the day they dug out her birth certificate and saw that she was actually born on April 30th.

I can still remember the day we went to pick her up from Catholic Social Services, because it was a very happy day for my 5 1/2-year-old self, to finally be getting the baby sister of my dreams.  I love you and thank God for making my dream come true! xoxo

(I’ll post all about the Speakeasy Party tomorrow… still cleaning up and in all honesty, kinda wiped out today!)

Marjane, I don’t know, I’ll have to ask my parents that question and get back to you.

Hi again Marjane,
I asked my mom and she thought it was Romana Sharon, but honestly she doesn’t remember much anymore, so it could have been Shirley. Thanks for your question and for checking out the blog.
