dye those eggs!
I thought you might need a little reminder that there are better ways to dye Easter eggs than those little kits you buy at the store.
Here is what I am doing today…
… opening up 100% silk ties to make my Silk Transfer Easter Eggs.
Another option is to use paper napkins and make Cocktail Napkin Easter Eggs
I spent some time in the backyard yesterday getting things cleaned up for Easter and saw that our orchid tree is finally in bloom and just in time!
Since Easter is early this year, I was afraid that for the first time we’d have no blooms, but Mother Nature delivered.
Although, the tree will never look as good as it did some 6 or 7 years ago when it was in all its glory. It has taken too many hits in hard freezes over the last few winters to ever look this good again. Aw, and I miss my beautiful Tanqueray too. He was such a sweet boy.
At least I have these two little mischief makers to keep me on my toes!
All right already, enough of memory lane, I’m going to get busy and dye my eggs and you should too!

That’s Tanqueray 🙂
Oh my, can’t believe I messed that up. Maybe that is just what happens when you name all your pets after alcohol! Kaluha, Tanqueray, Bombay & Bailey – love them all … the liquors and, even more so, the dogs and cats! I’m going to go fix that right now!
Glad that my ties can now be put to work, they have been resting in the closet for too long.
