stress free Halloween hord’oeuvres
Have you been so busy worrying about, shopping for, or (gasp!) making your Halloween costume that you don’t think you have time to make hor d’oeuvres to bring to the Halloween Party? I have just the thing for you, Ghost Toast Bites. These could not be easier: a few slices of bread, a cookie cutter, the broiler, raisins, Boursin cheese spread, and about 15 minutes and you’re ready to go!
Ghost Toast Bites
Bread Slices
Boursin cheese spread
Raisins, currants, or figs
Preheat the broiler to high.
Use a ghost or skull mini cookie cutter on the bread slices and cut out as many pieces as you would like. Lay cut-outs on a baking sheet and place under broiler until just browned, only a minute or two.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly, spread with the Boursin, and use the currants, raisins, or figs (use scissors to cut small pieces) for the eyes and mouths.
Place on a platter, done, and out the door!
Makes as many as you want to cut out and decorate.
