morning cocktail
This is the tasty creation that I served at the Burlap Pumpkin Making class this past Saturday morning. We went through two double batches!
FYI: I purchased the cute numbered (1 -12) cocktail classes on One Kings Lane.
Many thanks to Tram and Sheila for the two photos!
Papaya-Rosemary “AM Picker Upper”
Rosemary Simple Syrup
2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup rosemary leaves
Picker Upper
12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) vodka
1 1/4 cups papaya nectar
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons honey
Chilled Sprite
Papaya slices, garnish
Rosemary sprigs, garnish
Rosemary Simple Syrup: Combine water, sugar, and rosemary leaves in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and set aside to steep for 30 minutes. Strain into a 2- cup measuring cup or large jar, cover, and refrigerate until chilled. Makes 2 cups
Picker Upper: In a large pitcher, blend together vodka, peach nectar, lime juice, honey, and 1/2 cup of the rosemary simple syrup, stir well. Cover and refrigerate until completely chilled.
Fill eight “on the rocks” glasses with ice. Fill glasses 3/4 full with the papaya mixture and top off with chilled Sprite. Garnish each glass with a papaya slice and a rosemary sprig.
Enjoy!

Because they were fabulous!
I could use a pitcher for election night, thanks! SOOOO GOOD!
Oh Tram, if only you could drink “on air”! I would promptly bring a couple pitchers down to the station. Honestly, of all nights, this is the night you SHOULD drink while reporting! xoox
