it’s that time of month…
No not that!
It is Sweet Salvage time, of course!
As much as I’m dying to share recipes and projects from the Fall Crafting Party – I can not pass up the opportunity to give you a taste of the gorgeous vignettes I saw plus the amazing finds I found at this month’s sale.
One thing I’ve come to realize – I may have a thing for vintage French enamel porcelain. Last month, it was the scale and large measuring cup.
This month, I found a smaller and even more detailed measuring cup and…
… This!
A seriously fabulous French cast iron porcelain enamel sink.
I saw it.
Fell in love.
Envisioned it hanging on the new front patio.
Hesitated for 2 seconds.
But ultimately snatched it up before someone else could!
Between now and when the patio is ready for it – I’ll be searching for an equally fabulous faucet. Something like this would be perfect!
Enamel is not the only thing I found.
These three pieces were together in the same vignette; the Vin de Table pitcher, a numbered covered cheese plate, and the Coupe de Fruits pedestal serving piece. Love, love, and love!
It was hard to only buy five of these unique French recipe playing cards, each with a different classic French recipe.
Your recipe for today – is Tarte Normande. Enjoy!
If you have yet to figure out the Sweet Salvage theme of the month – it is French Market.
These delicate scalloped dishes, made in France, fit right in.
They’ll also fit into the French-themed dinner party I am currently planning in my mind.
Where these schoolhouse records will be playing softly in the background.
I shall begin detailed planning by writing notes – menu ideas, decor, tablescape drawings, recipes, guest lists, and such – and then file them away in this gorgeous vintage filing system.
You still have time to make all your French dreams come true too.
Sweet Salvage is open today from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Get on over there.
This and the two images directly above via
Sunday it opens at 10:00 and closes, until next month, at 6:00 PM. Then you’ll have to wait another whole month for the new sale and new theme.
