front yard wasn’t all that scary afterall

One month ago, when my front yard and entry looked like this…

… I was a bit worried. It was September 30th. I posted this photo on Facebook and said, “Here’s the extent of my Halloween/Fall entry decor for this year. I think the orange caution cones add great flare to the front of the house.”

At that time, I honestly thought we’d have a “dark house” on Halloween. You know, the people in the neighborhood who turn off all their lights, pretend they aren’t home, and don’t give out any candy.

By October 15th, there was a crane placing boulders in the front yard.

My Facebook post accompanying this photo on that day was, “Wanna show the neighbors that you’re doing something serious in your front yard? Get yourself a crane. That will do it!”

Within the last couple of weeks, things have really been coming together.

And the front entry…

I am very pleased with the final result, it was not scary at all. We had our lights on and we were in the “candy giving” business all night long.

The whole project should be complete in the next week. I’ll share the full reveal then.
