What the heck, people?!? I pour my pain, my suffering, and my heart out to you people about my serious ankle injury and the one and only empathetic comment I get is one from my mother-in-law!?! This just makes me sad. Not sad because my MIL commented – that made me happy and it was very kind and very sweet of her! No, I am sad because none of the rest of you had anything nice or funny or even sarcastic to say. 🙁
OK, I’m going to give you all another chance. Maybe I didn’t post nasty enough pictures of my foot. It’s actually looking worst now, so to get the sympathy I deserve… more photos for you to “man up” and comment on!
A few disclaimers about the photos. It is way more difficult than I would have ever expected to take photos of your own feet…, especially your injured foot. Also, yes, I am well aware that I have pasty white skin… but I’m putting it out there because the photo shows just how swollen and club-like my entire right foot and calf are. Yes, I know I am overdue for a pedicure, feel free to tell me so. It’s just for comparison purposes, but here is also my left foot and leg for your viewing pleasure. Yes! Those two limbs belong to the same person – weird! I’m just sitting here with my leg up, icing, compressing, and waiting (waiting on you, that is) – so let the commenting begin…

Well, Linda, you DO need a pedicure LOL but don’t we all! I am so sorry you hurt your ankle! Get it up girl and rest! No cooking and chef-like activity for you for awhile. Let the family cook for a change! I showed Nicholas the pictures and he said “Mom who’s foot is that?” and I said “Chef Hopkins” and all he could say was “WOW!” Please rest and feel better soon. Sending good thoughts your way! The D’Oliveira Family
Thank you Jennifer and Nicholas, You are so quick with your kind comment! 🙂 See my smile?!! oxxo
Hi Linda, yeah, but you did take some wonderful picture of your trip… especially the FOOT… lol…What a mess. All kidding aside, it sure does look like it would hurt a lot. No more hiking for you my friend. Just sit back, get waited on, and hopefully soon you’ll be back on your two feet. Take care! xoxo
I meant “sit back.” You know my dyslexia gets in the way!…and don’t be sad:)
You’re too cute, Dagmar! I fixed it – not sad anymore! 🙂

Yikes! Your nice neighbors should be helping you out…let me know what you need my friend!
Can you say ELEPHANTITUS? Wow, that is a gargantuan leg. You know, we were all being good, not wanting to say anything about you getting up there in years (now that your birthday is almost here) and how you can’t do what you used to … And you make us say what we’re thinking … which is … OMG, look at the size of that thing!!!
Get better soon!
Oh, Thank you Lisa, Sue and Ruth for the sweet “solicited” comments, so nice of you all! And my darling Cyndi, this is exactly what I was looking for, a good snarky remark that would make me smile – you always come through for me! xoxo
