It was used for guests and sleepovers. The bed sat up the in the playroom for many years. I disposed of the trundle-bed portion about 8 years ago.

follow As you can see from the photos above, it used to have and needed to have a dust ruffle to cover the black metal frame. But the last thing I need for it to have on a dusty Arizona outdoor patio is a dust ruffle. Yuck!

Since the bed has some gold accents, I decided to spray paint the black frame gold. I think it works.

I’ve ordered a mattress cover from Cost Plus World Market to make it look a bit more tailored and make it easier to keep clean.
