pretty tease

I am busily prepping for my first class, of a three-week series, this evening at Les Gourmettes Cooking School. Barb Fenzl had this adorable cooking utensil centerpiece basket that her sweet husband, Terry, made for her. I brought it home, picked up a big $9 bunch of flowers at Costco, and added in fresh herbs and baby artichokes from my garden. Truly love how it turned out and I will soon be making a utensil centerpiece basket of my own! Barb has 2 wooden spoons, a pastry brush, a whisk, tongs (can’t see those at the right end of the basket), and a wooden pasta fork. Too cute!

Tonight’s menu is a Mother’s Day brunch. The main course is a breakfast pizza… I will post the recipe soon, until then, here are a couple of pictures of the pizza dough before and after rising as a little tease… Yum!

Last night was soooo yummy! Gave my copy of the recipes to the boys for my Mother’s Day brunch, let’s see how they put their training to the test. 🙂 ( I did offer to assist)

Oh Sheila, aren’t you sweet! I’m sure your darling boys will come through – get them to make the pigs (dogs) in the flakey blankets too! xoxo

Thanks for making our dining room table so festive looking! I just love what you did with the centerpiece, and you’ve inspired me to try some other arrangements myself (not my forte). Last night’s class was such fun –
Love,
Barbara
